Entries for the Missouri Day Festival parade in Trenton will have a suggested donation of $20 if non-political instead of a required $20 charge.

Political entries will continue to be charged a $25 entry fee.

The Trenton Rotary Club is seeking a grant to help purchase handicapped playground equipment for the Trenton park system, with parade entry fees to be used for matching funds for the rotary grant.

There have been several complaints about the $20 fee for non-political entries, so it’s been changed to a suggested $20donation for the non-political organizations, businesses, and individuals.

The Missouri Day Parade is October 15th with a theme of “Spirit of America.” Charles Davidson has been appointed Grand Marshal.

Parade entry information is available at the Trenton Chamber of Commerce website.
