The Mercer County Sheriff’s Department, on Wednesday morning, announced that the east side of the Princeton Square will remain closed until further notice, due to the high probability that one of the structures involved in Tuesday’s fire was going to collapse.

There is no parking on Broadway between Main and Hicklan, on Hickland between Broadway and Chestnut, on Chestnut between Hickland and Main, and on Main between Chestnut and Broadway.

People needing to conduct business at the Mercer County Courthouse are being asked to enter through the east doors.

A State Fire Marshal’s Office investigator was at the scene this (Wednesday) morning.  A building inspector will need to inspect the structures that remain standing.

There have been no other updates this morning regarding Tuesday’s mid-afternoon fire on the east side of the Princeton Square.
