A Richmond resident was hurt when he was thrown from the all-terrain vehicle he was operating east of Cameron. Thirty-seven year old John Fillmore of Richmond was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center with what the Highway Patrol called moderate injuries.
The accident was late Saturday morning, six miles east of Cameron on Northwest Kerr Drive. The ATV was southbound at a steep uphill angle, when the machine rolled backwards, and Fillmore was thrown off. The ATV came to rest upright against a tree.
The ATV was not damaged. Fillmore was not wearing a helmet.
