Weather permitting, beginning Monday (May 23rd), Highway 11 in western Adair County will be closed to traffic for up to 75 days for bridge replacement at Mussel Fork Bridge, just over 1/2 mile east of the Sullivan/Adair County line.
The new bridge will be 24 feet wide, which is two feet wider than the existing structure.
Some areas of the road WILL remain open, but to LOCAL traffic only. All other traffic must take alternate routes.
Bleigh Construction of Hannibal was awarded the $839,233 contract.
