The Princeton and Mercer United Methodist Churches are excited to announce they will once again have full-time pastoral leadership. Pastor Sean Hammond has been appointed by the Missouri United Methodist Conference to serve as full-time pastor beginning July 1, 2016.

The two churches have only had part-time pastoral support since the unexpected death of Pastor Daniel Stratmann in 2013. The staff of Woods Chapel Church of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and their pastor, Rev. Jeff Brinkman, served the churches part-time until July of 2014. Since that time, Pastor Sean Hammond has served in a part-time position for the two churches.

A former resident of the area, Pastor Sean lived in Princeton with his parents, Johnny and Alice Hammond and brother, Patrick, until the family moved to Bethany in 1980.

Pastor Sean and his wife, Jenny, have two sons; Dakota, who lives in Bethany, and Conner, who just graduated from Bethany High School. Pastor Sean and Jenny will be moving to Princeton in the near future.
