A Princeton resident reportedly pressed the accelerator instead of the brakes, causing a pickup truck to hit a building at Cedar Ridge Apartments east of Princeton.

The driver of the pickup, 71-year-old James Bedard of Princeton, was taken to Wright Memorial Hospital at Trenton with minor injuries.

The accident happened Thursday afternoon as Bedard was attempting to park the pickup in a private lot one mile east of Princeton.

The truck sustained moderate damage and Bedard was wearing a seatbelt.
