Princeton and Hamilton FFA teams excel at Savannah event

Area students to receive state FFA degrees at annual convention in Columbia

Princeton and Hamilton had three first place teams and Trenton one during the Savannah FFA and Alumni career development events on Monday.

Princeton had first place teams in dairy cattle, horses, and livestock.  Hamilton had the top teams in ag mechanics, entomology, and forestry.  Trenton had the first place team in meats judging. 

Among other highly ranked teams from the Savannah competition:  Trenton FFA was 2nd in ag sales and 3rd in dairy cattle.  Princeton was 2nd in meats and poultry, 3rd in FFA knowledge.  Tri-County was 2nd in FFA knowledge and 4th in ag sales.

First place individual judges from the area included Blaine Millburn (Princeton) in dairy cattle, Kylie Willett (Princeton) in horses, and Allison Batson (Princeton) in meats, 2nd and 3rd place honors went to Shambree Hagan (Princeton) and Vivian Allen (Princeton) in livestock judging, while Logan Krohn of Princeton was 3rd and Soyer Wimer of Princeton 4th, both in horses.

Among Trenton FFA members with high individual scores were Sadie Roy, Karley McCollum, and Mariah Fox with 2nd and tied for 3rd respectively in ag sales, along with Jaylen Neff 2nd and Karli Crawford 3rd in meats.
