Pregnant woman found; went missing on day she was to be induced

HUMBLE, TX (KTRK/CNN) – Police found the expectant mother who vanished the same day she was supposed to be induced into labor.

Jessica Van Raub was located in a Walmart bathroom Tuesday morning. The police posted on Facebook that “there will be an ongoing investigation to make sure she is safe and has the proper medical attention.”

Authorities said the vehicle of Van Raub, who is nine months pregnant, was found abandoned at a dialysis clinic Monday afternoon.

Police Sgt. Scott Martin said Monday they didn’t believe it was foul play based on the initial investigation.

“There was no forced entry in the vehicle,” he said. “It was properly parked. She did leave a bag that she was going to take to the hospital with her inside the car, but there was no forced entry or any things of that nature with the car.”

Family members said they had expected her to return home soon after making a trip to the gas station that morning.

“She seemed like she was OK, maybe a little nervous because she was older and going to have a baby, but other than that she seemed excited about it,” said Jace Fellman, the baby’s father. “And I don’t know, I really don’t know what happened. I have no clue. She just didn’t come back.”
