The NCMC Teacher Education program recently partnered with the Pleasant View R-6 School District for this year’s EGGstravaganza.

Students in grades preschool through second grade participated in the event on Friday, March 31.

NCMC teacher candidates provided hands-on learning activities across several content areas including English Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Physical Education, Music, and Art.  The event finished with an Easter egg hunt.

Rebecca Steinhoff, Pleasant View R-6 Superintendent, stated, “At Pleasant View, we are very thankful to have a local Teacher Education program that takes such an active role in our school.  The students and staff had a great morning learning from the prospective teacher candidates.”

Dr. Johannah Baugher, NCMC Education Instructor said, “Having strong partnerships with our area school districts is an integral component of the framework of our program.  Early field experiences such as this provide our teacher candidates with an opportunity to put theory into practice.  We too are thankful for the partnership with Pleasant View, and look forward to future opportunities for collaboration!”
