Pleasant View R-6 Board of Education increases student lunch prices

The Pleasant View R-6 School Board approved an increase in student lunch prices as well as the purchase of computers at its meeting Tuesday night.

The prices of lunches will increase by 10 cents with the cost of lunch for students to be $2.35.

The board approved the purchase of four teacher computers as well as 16 WinBooks for classrooms to share. The total cost for the technology will be about $8,000.

The board also approved the 2017-2018 master schedule as well as all Missouri School Boards’ Association policy updates.

A year-end meeting will be held the afternoon of June 28th at 3:30 to approve the 2017-2018 budget as well as approve all final bills for the fiscal year.

Conrad and Higgins, LLC will begin a school audit July 25th.

The board heard updates on school construction.

The classrooms have been split to make room for the third and fourth grade to each have their own rooms for next school year.

After a closed session, the Board announced the approval of one hire as well as the administrator substitute pay.

Socha Osborn of Trenton was hired as an Early Childhood Special Education aide for next school year.

The administrator substitute pay was set at $100 per day.

The board also approved the acceptance of a new third grader for next year.
