Pleasant View R-6 Board approves Christmas field trip, snow removal bid

Individuals wishing to run for the Pleasant View R-6 Board of Education in April can file when the school is open December 13th through January 17th.

There’s no candidate filing during Christmas break December 17th through January 1st.

There are two, three-year terms to fill in April currently held by Tim Allen and Jill Reeter.

The board approved a bid from Tom Trump of Trenton for snow removal with the fee to be a sliding scale depending on the amount of snow. The minimum charge is $125 with the district is responsible for removing snow of fewer than two inches.

The board approved the purchase of leveled reader books for first, second, and title teachers at a cost of approximately $1,000. The program is buy one, get one free.

A Christmas field trip was approved for students to attend Trenton Cinema on December 16th with an end of the year field trip to Legoland/Sea Life in Kansas City approved for May 5th.

Teachers are to decide on an insurance plan to be considered by the Pleasant View Board of Education next month.
