Pleasant View R-6 Board of Education approves employee health insurance plans

Pleasant View R-6 Board of Education has approved employee health insurance plans for 2017.

The school reports there is a 1.73% increase in premiums. Approval also was given to renewing school district insurance coverage through MUSIC – Missouri United School Insurance Council.

The board also approved the audit for the past school year noting an increase in the net position by $29,000.

Members discussed a memorial for the late Mrs. Annette Sager with no decision made at a meeting last evening. A discussion also was held on the splitting of the third and fourth grade for the next school year (2017-18) with no decisions finalized.

Following an executive session, Abigail Richman of Trenton was employed as the Kindergarten teacher for the remainder of the current school year.

The Pleasant View school reports two terms of three years each are to be filled in the election next April. Board members with terms expiring then are Tim Allen and Jill Reeter. Candidates can file at the R-6 office 8 o’clock until 3:30 on regular school days.

Regarding the upcoming holiday break, classes will be dismissed early on Friday, December 16, no classes December 19 through the 30. Pleasant View will resume school on January 2.
