Pills found at Prince’s home mislabeled

(CNN) – Investigators say they found a mislabeled bottle of pills in the compound of the late singer Prince.

According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, a bottle that was labeled hydrocodone actually contained fentanyl.

Medical examiners found a lethal dose of fentanyl in Prince’s system.

Now the question is whether the drug manufacturer mislabeled the pills or if they were obtained illegally.

Fentanyl is the most powerful painkiller on the market and is only given in cases of extreme pain.

The investigation is still ongoing as to why Prince was taking strong painkillers in the first place and how he got them.
