Passing bad checks, endangering a child among cases in Grundy County Circuit Court

Among cases processed Tuesday in the Associate Division of the Grundy County Circuit Court.

51-year-old Lyle Hendee pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of passing bad checks. The charge was reduced from a felony per a plea agreement. Hendee, with a St. Joseph address in the court records was fined $200, ordered to pay restitution of $1,340, plus court costs – all of which is to be deducted from the cash bond that was posted.

A resident of Mountain Grove, 39-year-old Juanita Baney, pleaded guilty to charges of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child – a misdemeanor. The court followed a plea agreement and suspended the imposition of a sentence and placed her on probation for one year.

Conditions of probation include an evaluation for substance abuse, following recommendations and to cooperate with the children’s division.
