November sees above normal temperatures, below normal precipitation

Temperatures in November were considerably above average while precipitation was only 40% of normal.

Highs in November in Trenton averaged seven degrees above normal while lows were nine degrees above typical. Highs averaged 59.3 degrees and the low 41.2 degrees.

A record high was set November 17 when the temperature reached 77 degrees. The warmest day of the month in Trenton was November 1, reaching 80 degrees at the government reporting station at 17th and Harris where the Trenton Fire Department takes the readings. KTTN, in downtown Trenton, recorded 79 degrees.

The coolest temperature in Trenton in November was 22 degrees on November 20 which was the first hard freeze of the fall. It also was the only time all month in which temperatures reached the 20s in Trenton. The first light freeze occurred on November 12th with a reading of 30 degrees.

Rainfall in November in Trenton totaled .93 inches which is 1.42 inches below normal moisture for November.

Trenton, for the year, is about 3-1/2 inches below normal on moisture.
