The North Mercer R-3 Board of Education made a change to the master calendar at its meeting Monday evening.
The “no school/in service day” to be February 16 was moved to February 9, 2018. This was due to Homecoming week concluding on February 16 and the board wanted students to have a full week to celebrate Homecoming.
The board is talking with Ally McElfish to take pictures at Barnwarming, Homecoming, and Prom for this school year.
The district will hold an after school program similar to the model used for the 21st Century Grant. The program will run Monday through Thursday from 3:15 to 5:30 in the afternoon. The program will cost $3 per day.
The program may be eliminated if there are not 10 regular attendees.
