North Central Missouri College, in partnership with Midwest Adaptive Sports, will be hosting a Wheelchair Basketball game on Wednesday, October 18 at 7:00 p.m. at the Ketcham Community Center. There is no cost for admission but, free will donations will be accepted.
The NCMC Men and Women’s Basketball teams will take on Kansas City’s top wheelchair basketball players for a competitive head to head basketball game. All the proceeds will be used to benefit the Midwest Adaptive Sports wheelchair basketball program.
“This is a great opportunity for everyone to see should an unforeseen accident occur in their lives, they would still be able to compete in competitive sports,” said, Kevin Caldwell-NCMC student and Midwest Adaptive Sports league participant. “Even if you have a disability, or are wheelchair bound, you can still enjoy sports, competition, and live a normal productive life doing all the things you love.”
