North 65 Center Administrator Sarah Maloney presented on the daily happenings at the center to the Trenton Rotary Club at its meeting Thursday.

She said cooks arrive and start preparing for the day’s lunch at 6 o’clock each morning.

Maloney noted that more than 70 individuals eat meals at the center each day, and another 50 to 70 receive delivered meals.

She said individuals start coming to the center to participate in the day’s activities around 7 o’clock in the morning.

Activities include card playing, jigsaw puzzles, pool, and exercise classes.

Maloney added that there is a fun night each Tuesday and Bingo on Thursday nights.

During the business meeting, the club recognized nine members as Paul Harris Fellows in recognition for their work with and support of Rotary International.

Those members, who also received an eight plus designation, included Brian Upton, Debbie Carman, Doctor Kevin Harris, Jackie Soptic, Mary Easter, Roger Bennett, Savannah Summers, Teresa Cross, and Phil Hoffman.

The club also donated $6,000 to the Trenton Park Department to help with the development of an inclusive use park area and purchase of equipment.

The money was raised through local activities as well as a district Rotary grant the club received.
