The North Missouri Center for Youth and Families in Chillicothe partners with Second Harvest Food Bank in Saint Joseph to hold the No Hunger Summer program at the Center for Youth and Families.
Center Executive Director Daniel Savage explains that the program offers a free hot meal to children in Livingston County Monday through Friday from 11:30 to 1 o’clock with no questions asked and any parent can eat for $2.
He says the program is designed to provide a balanced and nutritious hot meal to children during the summertime that may not receive it otherwise.
Savage adds that No Hunger Summer serves a variety of foods.
He says all of the food provided comes from Second Harvest Food Bank, and donations are not necessary.
Any donations that are made are tax deductible because the program is a 501 (c) (3).
