The NCMC Student Practical Nurse Association and NCMC Student Nurses’ Association has a designated class fund that classmates in the PN and ADN program contribute. In the past, this has funded scholarships, programs, at need individuals and provided gifts. This year, the class fund donated $500 to the Preserving the Past, Focusing on the Future capital campaign to restore Geyer Hall.

Through generous donations and governmental funding, NCMC nursing students now attend classes in the state-of-the-art Dr. Albert and Vera Cross Hall.  But in the past, nursing students at NCMC once called the third floor of Geyer Hall home to their nursing program. Nursing students will still utilize Geyer Hall for their general education requirements and the new “Learning Commons” which will house tutoring services and the library. Kelly Claycomb, Level I Nursing Instructor/Program Coordinator stated, “We are excited about the future of Geyer Hall and how it will impact not only our nursing students but the entire campus.”

Donations by individuals wishing to join the NCMC Nursing Associations in supporting the Preserving the Past and Focusing on the Future capital campaign to restore historic Geyer Hall can mail their tax-free donation to the NCMC Foundation at 1301 Main St., Trenton, MO. They can also contact Teresa J. Cross, Director of the NCMC Foundation, at 660-359-3948 x1403 or make donations online at www.ncmissouri.edu  by clicking the green donate now button. Weekly videos showing the progress of renovation to Geyer Hall can also be viewed on the NCMC website at www.ncmissouri.edu
