Multi-Cultural Festival set for September 23 in Milan

The Milan Chamber of Commerce will hold the Sixth Annual Multi-Cultural Festival on the Milan Square September 23.

Food and craft vendors from all cultures will open at 9 o’clock this morning. A small world parade starts at noon and a local talent will perform on the north stage from noon until 3 o’clock.

There will be bounce houses for children from noon until 6 o’clock.

A hot dog eating contest starts at 2:30 this afternoon followed by a jalapeno eating contest at 2:45.

Mariachi Nuevo Guachinango will perform at various locations on the square from 3 until 7 o’clock. Folk dancers will perform on the north stage from 4 to 5 o’clock as well as 6 to 7 o’clock. The band Riker performs tonight from 7 o’clock to 8:30.

Former lead vocalist for Head East and Petra will follow from 8:30 to 10 o’clock and a street dance with disc jockey Marcos Lopez will begin at 10:30.
