The operator of a motorcycle was injured when he was thrown off the machine during an accident last night at Winston.

The highway patrol report shows moderate injuries was 40-year-old David P. Wilson of Winston. He was taken by ambulance to Cameron Regional Medical Center.

The accident also involved a car driven by 16-year-old Logan Caldwell of Winston that allegedly failed to yield to the motorcycle about 7:10 last Wednesday evening when the car was westbound on Third Street. The motorcycle was headed south on Ballinger inside the Winston city limits.

Damage was minor for the car and moderate for the motorcycle.

The report indicated Caldwell was using a seat belt while Wilson was not using a safety device.
