Motorcycle demolished in Brookfield accident

A motorcyclist was hurt, when according to the highway patrol, he failed to yield at a stop sign.

The motorcycle was involved was in a collision with a sport utility vehicle in an accident Wednesday afternoon at the north edge of Brookfield.

29-year-old Shane Glasgow of Chillicothe was taken to Pershing Memorial Hospital at Brookfield with minor injuries.

The driver of the SUV, 34-year old Joel Dixon of Brookfield, was not reported hurt.

The accident happened at Highway 11and Prairie Street at the north edge of Brookfield, as the motorcycle was eastbound and the SUV was traveling south.

The motorcycle was demolished. Damage to the sport utility vehicle was listed as minor.

Both persons were wearing safety devices.
