The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the Northwest Missouri region planned for the week of April 18 – 24 from the Missouri Department of Transportation. In addition to the work listed below, there may be pothole patching, bridge deck washing, striping, brush cutting, guardrail repairs and other road work conducted throughout the region. Many of these will be moving operations and could include lane closures with delays.
MoDOT reminds the public to stay alert, watch for road work, buckle up, slow down, and drive with extreme caution through work zones and in changing weather conditions.

Atchison County
Route N – CLOSED at the East Fork of the Little Tarkio Creek Bridge; bridge replacement project. The road will be closed through mid-June.

Sullivan County
Route FF – CLOSED from Route BB to Ringo Point Trail; culvert replacement, April 18, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Route FF – CLOSED from Route BB to Route H; culvert replacement, April 18, 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Route H – CLOSED from Route FF to Indian Drive; culvert replacement, April 19, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Weather delays pushed back pavement improvements last year for six routes in Northwest Missouri. Contractors working with the Missouri Department of Transportation are gearing up to begin pavement improvements on the following routes:
Scratch course treatments will begin on Wednesday, April 20, on Route RA. Most routes will only take one day to complete, except Route F which could take up to four days. All will be full closures except Route NN which is scheduled for a one-lane closure around the work with a pilot car to guide motorists through the work zone. The scratch course treatments should be completed on Monday, May 2. All scheduled work is weather permitting and schedules are subject to change. Following the scratch course, a chip seal will be applied. Chip seals are scheduled to begin May 16 and will continue for approximately two weeks. Striping will put down after the chip seals have cured. |
