Missouri woman charged in death of boyfriend

Charges Filed

CLAYTON, Mo. (AP) — A St. Louis County woman is charged with second-degree murder in the stabbing death of her boyfriend.

Authorities say 40-year-old Shanita Pettigrew was charged Saturday in the death of 36-year-old Anthony Randle Jr. She is jailed on $200,000 bond.

Police say Pettigrew pulled a knife during a confrontation with Randle on Friday. Randle tried to use pillows to block the knife but was stabbed in the chest.

Police say Pettigrew drove to a store and told a worker she had stabbed her boyfriend.
