Missouri State Highway Patrol announces Troop B promotions

Missouri State Highway Patrol Commanding Officer Captain James Wilt of Troop B of Macon has announced two promotions.

Corporal Daniel Spring was promoted to sergeant and designated supervisor of Zone 3 for Chariton and Linn counties.

Spring was appointed to the Patrol in 2003 and previously served Troop B in Putnam and Sullivan counties. He graduated from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville with a bachelor of science in sociology and is originally from Centerville, Iowa.

Trooper Justin Dunn was promoted to corporal and designated assistant supervisor of Zone 5 for Adair and Schuyler counties.

Dunn was appointed to the Patrol in 2008 and previously served Troop B in Putnam and Sullivan counties as well as Chariton and Linn Counties.

Prior to his appointment to the Patrol, Dunn also served as a Linn County Deputy Sheriff.

He graduated from Moberly Area Community College with an associate of applied science in law enforcement and is originally from Marceline.
