The Missouri Highway Patrol reports two Kansas City area residents were arrested Saturday night in Harrison County and accused of drug-related offenses.

39-year-old Richard Lovelace of Kansas city was accused of drug trafficking and misdemeanor unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

Lovelace also was accused of displaying a lighted auxiliary lamp of color not substantially white, yellow, or amber, and failure to properly affix a license plate.

The patrol reports 38-year-old Shannon Lackland of Independence was accused of possessing the controlled substances meth and synthetic narcotic, and misdemeanor unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

The two persons were taken to the Harrison County Law Enforcement Center.
