Mercer County Fair set to kick off July 15

The Mercer County Fair will be held in Princeton next month.

The Northwest Missouri Tractor Puller Association will hold a tractor pull July 1st.

July 15th, a community breakfast will be held from 8 to 10 o’clock in the morning, a corn hole tournament as well as a dunk tank at 1 o’clock in the afternoon, and cook-off judging starts at 5 o’clock that evening.

Live music will include Sam Banks at 3 o’clock and Hired Gun at 7 o’clock.

Activities for the evening of July 18th include exhibit entry from 5 to 6 o’clock, the 4-H conference as well as open class exhibit judging also from 5 to 6 o’clock, and fair royalty with a talent show to follow at 6 o’clock.

July 19th, there will be a rabbit show at 10 o’clock in the morning, a poultry show at 1 o’clock in the afternoon, and a pet show at 6:30 that evening.

A hog show will be held the evening of July 20th at 5 o’clock.

July 21st, a sheep and goat show will be held at 4 o’clock in the afternoon, and mini super farmer and super farmer contests will begin at 6 o’clock that evening.

July 22nd’s activities include a beef show at 10 o’clock in the morning, a horse workshop at 1:30 that afternoon, an ice cream social at 5 o’clock that evening, and a youth livestock auction at 6 o’clock.

A carnival will be held July 18th through 22nd from 6 to 10 o’clock each night.
