A public meeting on foster parenting is coming up early next month in Trenton.

Healthy Families, Cornerstone, presents an introduction to foster parenting on Tuesday, August 2nd. The free 6 o’clock evening meeting is scheduled at First Baptist Church in Trenton. Organizers say the meeting involves information, no obligation on the part of anyone attending.

The meeting is scheduled to address what’s called the need for foster parents in the third judicial circuit counties of Grundy, Mercer, Harrison, and Putnam.

There’s a similar “Introduction to Foster Parenting” meeting in Brookfield on the 16th of August. It’s at 6 o’clock that Tuesday night and will be held at the First Christian Church in Brookfield. That meeting August 16th is at 1416 North Main and involves the ninth judicial circuit counties of Sullivan, Linn, and Chariton.

As previously announced, Cameron will be the location next week, on July 18, for an introduction to foster parenting. The Cameron session is at the First BaptistChurch, 202 East Ford Street in Cameron. It’ll be for potential foster parents in the 43rd judicial circuit counties of Livingston, Caldwell, Daviess, DeKalb, and Clinton.

It’s reported nearly three thousand kids in northwest Missouri have been traumatized by abuse and neglect. Interested persons can reserve a seat at any of the meetings Trenton, Brookfield, and Cameron by calling toll free 855-778-5437.
