Man stabbed after apparent road rage incident in Overland Park

OVERLAND PARK, KS (KCTV) – A 41-year old Gardner, KS man is awaiting possible charges after he stabbed another man with a knife during a road rage incident on Thursday morning.  

The incident happened shortly after 8:30 a.m. on the ramp from northbound I-35 to 75th Street in Overland Park.  

Police say there was some kind of disagreement between the two men as they were driving on the freeway. 

They both pulled off to the side of the road, and a physical altercation ensued.  

During the fight, the 50-year old man was stabbed.  

The man was taken to an area hospital to be checked out.  He was treated and later released. 

Police say they received several phone calls from motorists during the incident, but no one intervened.  The altercation had ended by the time police arrived on the scene.
