Livingston County Sheriff’s Department keeps busy: Incidents, arrests, investigations and transports

February 18 Deputy Sheriff/School Resource Officer Mike Lewis filed a report with this office regarding an alleged assault between two juvenile students at the Chillicothe High School. School officials, parents, and juvenile authorities are aware of the incident. Investigation continues.

February 21 the LCSO began an investigation of reported Trespassing and Peace Disturbance from a known man. The suspect was reported to have fled the area prior to officer’s arrival. The following morning the suspect was located walking near Sturgis and was subsequently incarcerated.

February 22 the LCSO began an investigation of property damage, theft, and tampering with a motor vehicle. A suspect reportedly moved a vehicle owned by the victim, broke out the windows and removed clothing and personal items from the car. Investigation continues.

February 23 the LCSO began an investigation of reported fraud and identity theft. Victim reported their credit card number had been used in Florida. Investigation continues.

February 25 Deputy Sheriff/School Resource Officer Mike Lewis filed a report with this office of an alleged assault between 2 juvenile students at the Chillicothe Middle School. Parents, School Officials, and Juvenile authorities have been made aware of the incident and the report is being submitted to the Juvenile Office for consideration.

February 28 the LCSO received a late night call to an address on Liv 231 for a check the well-being on an adult at the home. Friends of the citizen were very concerned about the person in the home and for their immediate safety. The person was found to be inside the residence and was not in need of urgent medical care.

February 29 Deputy Sheriff/School Resource Officer Mike Lewis filed initial report with this office of an investigation at the Chillicothe Middle School where 1 or more juveniles are alleged to potentially possess improper child images on cell phone(s) and/or other device. Investigation is continuing.   Juvenile Officer, parents, and proper school officials are aware of the incident. Report being submitted to the Juvenile Office.

March 02 the LCSO and Missouri State Highway Patrol began an investigation of stalking and violation of an Ex Parte Order of Protection. Investigation resulted in the arrest of Corey D. Stottlemyre, 39, Chillicothe for the alleged violations. Mr. Stottlemyre was incarcerated in the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail. Later on March 02 we received 3 Livingston County arrest warrants on Corey David Stottlemyre for alleged, Violation of an Order of Protection for Adult and Stalking 1st offense, bond was set at $2,500 case on case #16LV-CR00082, Failure to Obey a Judge’s Order on Bond Conditions on case #16LV-CR00070 with bond set at $2,500 cash, and Failure to Obey a Judge’s Order on Bond Conditions on case #16LV-CR00071 with bond set at $2,500 cash.

March 02 the LCSO received an early morning tip and located a stolen purse and certain contents from a location in Chillicothe and subsequently turned the property over to the Chillicothe Police as they had received a report of the missing/stolen property.

March 03 the LCSO responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the northwest part of Livingston County. There was no criminal violation and additional assistance was given to potentially receive other services from a care provider.

 

Arrests:

February 22 the LCSO arrested Rebecca A. Kirkpatrick, 54, Chillicothe on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Violation of Bond Conditions on original charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Bond was set at $10,000 and Ms. Kirkpatrick was transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail.

February 22 the LCSO arrested Cameron K. Bay, 27, Chillicothe on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged class D felony Non-Support with total arrears in excess of 12 monthly payments. Bond was set at $2,500 and Mr. Bay was transferred to DDCRJ in lieu of bond.

February 23 the LCSO arrested Corey David Stottlemyre, 39, Chillicothe on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Domestic Assault in 3rd Degree. Bond was set at $1,000. Mr. Stottlemyre was incarcerated at DDCRJ in lieu of bond.

February 24 the LCSO arrested Corey David Stottlemyre, 39, Chillicothe on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged misdemeanors of Trespassing 1st degree and Peace Disturbance 1st offense. Bond was set at $2,500 cash and the Court ordered no contact with specific person(s) from this incident.

February 24 the LCSO arrested Kyle Anthony Eichler, 28, Chillicothe on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Failure to Obey a Judge’s Order on Bond Conditions on original charge of class C felony Possession of Controlled Substance. Bond was set at $25,000 and Mr. Eichler was transferred to DDCRJ in lieu of bond.

February 24 the LCSO arrested Michael Jason Stoddard, 26, Ludlow, on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged failure to appear in Court on an original charge of alleged Trespassing. Mr. Stoddard posted the $200 bond and was released pending next Court appearance.

 

Other News:

The LCSO is continuing with a variety of on-going investigations including an unattended deaths from February 27 and March 02.

The LCSO recently received Court orders to cause the following detainees to be transported to the Missouri Department of Corrections to serve a sentence or receive treatment:

McKalla Stevens, 29, Chillicothe, Probation Violation – Distribution Controlled Substance   7 years consecutive. 

Rochelle Coltin, 46, Chillicothe, Probation Violation -Stealing 7 years consecutive. 

Steven Burns, 29, Chillicothe, Probation Violation – Failed to Register 4 years 120 program.
