The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office and the Missouri State Highway Patrol caught a Utica man trying to flee from arrest March 24.

Sheriff Steve Cox reports two deputy sheriffs and three state troopers attempted to serve a Pettis County arrest warrant on 27-year-old Samuel Van Horn when he reportedly jumped out of a window and ran.

A deputy sheriff and state trooper caught and restrained Van Horn before taking him to the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office.

Van Horn posted bond on the Pettis County arrest warrant for failure to appear in court on original charges of resisting or interfering with arrest, driving while revoked or suspended, careless and imprudent driving, and failing to stop at a stop sign.

Cox reports Van Horn now has potential additional charges in Livingston County.
