Livingston County Sheriff seeks to hire Reserve Deputy

Steve Cox at the Livingston County Sheriff’s department announced today that the department is seeking to fill a part time reserve deputy position.

Qualifications for the position require the applicant to possess a current valid Missouri police officer standards and training (P.O.S.T.) license, excellent communications skills, be able to handle stressful situations, and consistently provide a polite and positive but firm approach.

This position requires on the job training and continuing education to maintain a valid P.O.S.T. License. The person filling this position will be primarily assigned court and courthouse security with occasional prisoner transport, extraditions, and civil process service.

There are no minimal number of weekly or monthly hours guaranteed with this position and, applicants must be willing to submit to a physical, drug screen, background investigation and possess at least a high school diploma or equivalent.

Compensation for this position is $12.35 per hour with no additional benefits offered to part time employees.
