The Livingston County Library in Chillicothe is hosting a Tenn Summer Reading Program for ages 12 to 18.  Programs will be held every Tuesday in June and July at 1 PM.  This year’s theme is “Get in the Game : READ!”.  Program activities will be related to sports, board games, video games, and many more game themes.  Book logs may be picked up at the library or printed online anytime.  Participants will also be given punch cards through the course of the summer.

Participants will receive one punch for every 5 books read, as well as a punch for each activity attended.  When a punch card is filled, they will then be entered into a drawing for prizes at the end of the summer.

The kickoff program for the Teen Summer Reading Program will be Tuesday, June 7th at 1 PM.  The kickoff will be a “Hunger Games” scavenger hunt and obstacle course.  A Reaping will be held at the library to divide participants into teams and the scavenger hunt will lead participants to various locations across downtown Chillicothe.  Dressing up as your favorite “Hunger Games” character is encouraged.  There will be food and prizes at the end of the scavenger hunt.

Teens may register online at http://goo.gl/forms/wew1dTcv1v.  You can also stop by the library or call (660) 646-0547 to register.  Contact Monica Holmer, Teen Services Librarian, at [email protected] with any questions.
