Linn County couple involved in crash that injures 5

A couple from the Linn County community of Laclede was involved in a three-vehicle traffic accident Sunday afternoon in northeast Missouri’s Ralls County.

The highway patrol reports five persons with injuries with one of them serious.

A pickup driven by 67-year-old Robert Rollison of Laclede was northbound on U-S 61 when according to the highway patrol, he failed to stop and the pickup hit the rear of a stopped car which was then pushed into the rear of a van that also had halted at a stop light. Rollison wasn’t hurt.

The pickup and a car were demolished. The van received moderate damage.

A passenger in the pickup, 67-year-old Donna Rollison of Laclede, sustained what the patrol called minor injuries. A passenger in the car, 35-year-old Amber Whitford of Louisiana (Missouri) was listed with serious injuries. The driver of the car, 29-year-old Anthony Koch of Bowling Green, had minor injuries, Others with minor injuries were occupants of the van: the driver 52-year-old Douglas Dixon and passenger, 48-year-old Penny Dixon – both of Bowling Green. Only the Dixons were listed as having their seat belts on.

The highway patrol reports show all five injured persons were taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital as a result of the early Sunday afternoon accident.
