Kirksville woman injured in crash near Novinger

A Kirksville resident was injured late last night when, according to the Highway Patrol, a sports utility vehicle struck a deer on Highway 6 in western Adair County one-half mile to the west of Novinger.

The highway patrol listed injuries as minor for 28-year-old Nelly Biduaya of Kirksville who was taken by private auto to Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville. She was a passenger in the eastbound SUV driven by 50-year-old Roger Tshienda, also of Kirksville, who wasn’t hurt in the 11:25 pm accident.

Both occupants were using seat belts.
