Are you buying or selling a vehicle? Here’s a little tidbit of information you may not know. If you are buying or selling a vehicle for an amount that is significantly less than market value, you will need a notarized bill of sale. The Department of Revenue has implemented this requirement to reduce the amount of sales tax fraud. When you visit a license office to title your new purchase (valued less than fair market value), please bring the notarized bill of sale with you or you will be sent to get one.
