Princeton At Milan Softball Rained Out

Monday night's scheduled softball games from Legion Field in Milan between the Princeton Tigers and the Milan Wildcats were cancelled due to wet field conditions from the weekend rainfall.

A make-up date for the games has not been announced. Princeton was looking for a bounce-back effort, after losing a Grand River Conference game on THURSDAY night to King City, 11-3. Starting pitcher Chelsie Jones gave up eight hits and 11 runs (seven earned) over seven innings of work, striking out nine Lady Wildkat batters.

Shaylee Henley had a single and an RBI for the Lady Tigers. The loss dropped Princeton's record to 5-3 overall, and 2-2 in GRC play. In Thursday's loss, defense was Princeton's downfall, with the Lady Tigers committing ten errors in the contest.

Princeton continues GRC play on Tuesday night at Maysville (5:30 PM). Milan is next in action at Trenton High School against the Lady Bulldogs Thursday night (5:00 PM). Milan lost to Knox County in Tri-Rivers Conference softball action last Thursday night by a score of 5-0.
