THS Pushes Carrollton To Third Set, Falls To 0-5

The Trenton High School varsity volleyball team lost for the fifth consecutive time this season, while the JV's brief two-match winning streak ended, in Thursday night action from the THS gymnasium.

The Lady Bulldog varsity fell to the Lady Trojans by scores of 15-25, 25-15, 18-25. THS was led by 24 digs, six assists, and two aces for freshman Alex Ewald. Lyric Nolan had a pair of aces, with Lakisha Hughs and Bekah Wiggins getting seven kills, with Sarah Walker contributing two blocks. Malinda Foster had six assists.

The Trenton JV was beaten by Carrollton 21-25, 8-25, with Tomi Delp scoring two aces and two kills, Jasmyn French two assists, and Morganne Farmer three digs.

Next week, the Lady Bulldogs HOST Hamilton on Monday (5:00 PM), travel to Kirksville on Thursday (9/19), and participate on the Lathrop Tournament on Saturday (9/21).
