The Missouri Department of Transportation says delays can be expected.

MoDOT says beginning Monday morning around 6 o'clock, 1 lane of Northbound I-35 will be closed in in 2 to 4 mile sections. A different lane may be closed each day. Motorists are asked to follow construction signs and message boards.

One of the first areas to be impacted is the I-35 and Highway 36 interchange at Cameron.

MoDOT says work on the northbound lanes should be completed by December 1st, weather permitting. Work on the southbound lanes is planned next spring, with the scheduled completion date July 1st of next year.

Construction is planned Monday through Saturday each week during daylight hours. Occasional work on Sundays and nights may be necessary.

Herzog Contracting Corporation was awarded a contract of $5,860,000 for the
I-35 resurfacing project in the Cameron area.
