Trenton's offense was led by Logan Shuler, who scored three touchdowns and added a two point conversion. Jonathan Lamp had a touchdown and a two-point conversion to complete the scoring. Trenton trailed 8-6 after a quarter, 22-14 at halftime, and 30-22 after three quarters. Trenton scored a fourth quarter touchdown, but failed to convert the two-point conversion.

The Trenton JV is next in action on Monday night, September 23rd, hosting Higginsville in a 6 o'clock kickoff at C.F. Russell Stadium.

The Trenton freshman, in a game featuring big plays by both teams, lost to an Albany Warrior team that was comprised mostly of sophomores, by a final score of 40-22 on Monday night. The first quarter ended scoreless, with a potential Bulldog touchdown run by Connor Cotton called back by penalty. With the ball on the Bulldog 1 on the first play of the second quarter, Albany scored a touchdown to take the lead, adding the two-point conversion to make it 8-0. Quarterback Seth Cline scored the Warrior touchdown on the ground. His pass to Caden Wilson added the two.

The combination of Cline and Wilson gave the Bulldog secondary fits for the rest of the night, scoring on plays of 31, 56, and 1 yard. Cline had another touchdown run of 22 yards and Maverick Hall a 31 yard TD run to complete the Warriors scoring.

Trenton's freshman closed the gap on two occasions. First up, midway through the second quarter, Trenton climbed within 8-6 on a 23 yard scoring run by quarterback Spencer Harris. The point-after attempt failed. With 3:37 left in the half, Harris scored on a 72 yard run, with the successful conversion cutting the Warriors lead to 16-14. However, THS never got closer. With 2:38 to go in the game, Austin Burkeybile had a 22 yard scoring run, and Connor Cotton converted the two point conversion.

The Trenton freshman will host Richmond in their next game, on Monday night, September 30th, at 6 o'clock at C.F. Russell Stadium.
