Flags Ordered At Half Staff for Joe Darr

Gov. Jay Nixon has ordered that the flags of the United States and the State of Missouri at all state government buildings in Livingston County be flown at half-staff on Monday (Sept. 9) in honor of Assistant Fire Chief Joe Darr, of the Chillicothe Fire Department.

Assistant Fire Chief Darr, age 62, died on Sept. 4 while serving the citizens of the Chillicothe Fire Department. He served 34 years with the department and served as a member of the Region H Haz-Mat Response Team.

Under Gov. Nixon’s order, U.S. and Missouri flags at state buildings in Livingston County will fly at half-staff from sunrise until sunset on Sept. 9, 2013, the day the funeral services for Assistant Fire Chief Darr will take place.
