Chillicothe Police Respond To Animal Neglect Call

Chillicothe Police Officers were called to a residence in the 400 block of Elm Street in reference to a report of animal neglect.

When officers arrived, it was discovered that multiple animals at the residence where without adequate food and water for the weather conditions. 

Chillicothe police stated several animals were deemed to be critically poor health conditions.  James Venneman was cited for 18 acts of animal cruelty and neglect. 

Sixteen rabbits and one dog were removed from the residence at Chillicothe.
