"Military Past And Present" Theme Of Calamity Jane Days

|Calamity Jane Days at Princeton next month has the theme “ Military past and present.”|
Some of the advance preparations include September 18th at 10 that morning, the military wall will be escorted into town by the Color Guard and a Humvee.
School children will line the street with American flags given by the Republican women.
Organizers hope for a a big turnout lining the Princeton Square to honor the fallen heroes.
Persons attending also are ask to bring a flag.
This wall, called remembering our fallen heroes, will be on display in the Mercer county Court House first floor from Wednesday afternoon through Sunday. Organizers are asking sponsorship’s of $25 to help with expenses. Send checks to Judy Woodward at 234 South College, Princeton, Mo. 64673.
Organizers are asking for military pictures to be taken to Donna Herdrich to be copied for the West window of the Famous. You may also email a digital photo to the firstname.lastname@example.org.
At 7 pm on Saturday of Calamity Jane Day, there will be a program honoring veterans and military. Luminaries may be purchased for $5 in memory or honor of a veteran or military person. Names will be read during the program. Names may be added to list of honor or memory to be read during the program.
T shirts may be ordered at the Famous. They will be red and in Honor of our Military, past and present.
There also will be a contest of who can get the most Vets to sign your shirt.
The cost of the t-shirts are $15 and $17 for 2x and 3x.
