|A Princeton boy, 18 year old Thomas Mallinson, has pleaded guilty to multiple charges for his alleged role in a crime spree in Mercer County during the first half of this year. |
Mallinson appeared yesterday in Division One of Mercer County Circuit Court. Judge Jack Peace
suspended imposition of sentence and placed Mallinson on probation for five years. Among the conditions of probation is shock time in jail to be serve by October 31st.
Two co-defendants are facing the same multiple charges. Colton Nelson and Vince Jennings,
both 18 and from Princeton, waived preliminary hearings Tuesday in the Associate Division and
then appeared yesterday in Division One where both entered not guilty pleas. Their cases were
continued. The three boys were arrested this summer on 19 felony counts: seven for 2nd degree
burglary, eight for stealing, and four on property damages, all in Mercer county.
A Mercer man, Tyler Hinshaw, has 13 counts pending in the Mercer County Circuit Court.
The 23 year old Hinshaw was arraigned and pleaded not guilty in Division One yesterday on five
felony counts and five misdemeanors counts, all from January. Hinshaw was arrested last month in
California; then recently brought back to Princeton by Prisoner Transportation Service of America, an extradition company. Hinshaw faces additional charges of escaping from the Mercer County Jail by striking another person; second degree burglary; and tampering with a motor vehicle, all in April at Princeton. Those cases are still in the Associate Division and were continued to August 20th.
Hinshaw remains in custody in lieu of 150 thousand dollars cash bond.
64 year old Eugene Pattie of Marshall had his multiple felony cases continued in Mercer County
Circuit Court. Pattie is held in jail without bond at Princeton. He is facing seven felony counts in connection with May 10th incidents at Mercer.
The sheriff's office reported Dave Neimeyer of Mercer was injured when he was shot. His wife, Ginny,was assaulted that same evening.
