Trenton is among three communities in Missouri to receive funding for a farmers market. Lamar was approved for 20-thousand dollars and Perryville nearly 20 thousand. The other recipient in Missouri, Old Trails Regional Tourism Partnership, was allocated nearly 50-thousand dollars to assist the development of a regional economy.

The four projects in Missouri are among 131 recipients nationwide. Combined, the national projects are allocated to receive six-point-five million dollars through the U-S Department Of Agriculture. The funding is contingent upon the recipients meeting the terms of the grant agreement.

The money is through the Rural Business Enterprise Grant Program.
