Princeton City Council Meeting Results

The next step in a process to upgrade the lagoon used by the city of Princeton was authorized last night.

The city council of Princeton gave the go ahead to the Larkin Group of Kansas City to advertise for bids on the project.

The upgrade is described as a requirement of the Department of Natural Resources.Costs are to be paid by the city of Princeton as no grant money is involved.

The council approved tax levies of nearly 92 cents for city of Princeton operations and ten cents for the band tax. The figures are about the same as last year.

Using revenue from the band tax, the council approved a total of 16-hundred 40 dollars in service contracts to pay entertainment at the Calamity Jane festival next month in Princeton.

The next meeting of the Princeton city council is September 4th.
