Ridgeway Accident Injures Two

Two persons were hurt when a car traveled off an intersection at Ridgeway striking a tree.

A passenger, 15-year old Caleb Kerwin of Murray, Iowa, was taken by private vehicle to
Harrison County Community Hospital at Bethany with moderate injuries.

The driver, 31-year old Clint Medlin of Ridgeway, was taken by private vehicle to the hospital in Bethany with minor injuries.

Medlin was accused of driving while intoxicated, second degree assault by driving a motor vehicle while intoxicated, and endangering the welfare of a child.

The accident was early Sunday at Locust and Third streets at Ridgeway. The car was westbound on Locust street, traveled into the Intersection, off the southwest side of the intersection, hit a tree, demolishing the car.

Kerwin was wearing a seatbelt, but Medlin was not using a safety device.
