Trenton City Council Meets On Taxes

|The property tax rate in the city of Trenton for this year has been proposed at slightly over one dollar and four cents on the 100 dollars of assessed valuation. |
That's the same rate as last year. It's based on a formula from the Missouri auditor's office.
The proposed rate includes nearly 88 cents on the 100 dollars of assessed valuation for the general fund and slightly over 16 cents on the 100 dollars for parks. Those figures are budgeted to produce 462-thousand dollars for general purposes, and nearly 85-thousand dollars for parks.
Assessed valuation in Trenton is nearly 56-point-four million dollars . That's up more than One-point-seven million dollars compared to last year.
Real estate assessed valuation at Trenton is more than 35 point-two million dollars. That's up 166-thousand dollars compared to last year.
