Trenton police said 70-year old Gary Berry of Trenton rolled off the motorcycle. Berry was quoted as saying his back hurt but he refused immediate transport to Wright memorial hospital. However, police said Berry later went to the hospital by private vehicle, and reported he possibly strained ligaments in his right shoulder.

The driver of the car, 19-year old Jacob Cassity of Trenton, was not reported hurt.

Police said Cassisty was making a left turn from the eastbound lane on 9th street to Oklahoma avenue while berry was westbound on 9th street.

Authorities quoted Cassity as saying he had a Green arrow, while berry said he had a green light. Berry said he saw a truck turn North onto Oklahoma avenue, and then the car, which was behind the truck, turned in front of him.

Berry was quoted as saying he did not have time to stop, so he put the motorcycle on the ground before it skidded into the car. Damage was listed as moderate to both the motorcycle and the car.

Authorities said a witness at the intersection was not positive who had the right of way.
No citations were issued.
